DIY Shower – Raised Base Kits

All DIY Showers are now available with the DIY Shower – Raised Base Kits, designed for above-ground plumbing. This option offers flexibility for installations where running waste through the floor isn’t feasible.

 

Complete Kits

We offer complete kits with either a Micro Trap or a Flexi Waste, depending on your specific installation needs:

• If you require a trap and have enough height available for the install, the Micro Trap is ideal.
• On the other hand, the Flexi Waste is perfect if you have limited space but still need an efficient waste solution.

These kits are ideal for installs where waste cannot be directed through the floor, such as on concrete slabs, or in situations where more fall is required for the waste.

 

Additional Features

A front stainless steel kick panel is provided for models where the fibreglass does not extend all the way to the floor, allowing for both adjustments and easy access.

If you prefer to build your own raised base, parts such as the Flexi Waste or Micro Trap are available separately (see below for details).

 

Shower G Specifics

Please note that Shower G is only available with the Flexi Waste raised base option and does not support the Micro Trap option. Other shower models are available with both options.

 

Change in Shower Cubicle Height with Raised Base Option (approx.)

• Complete Kit with Micro Trap – adds 150-180mm (varies depending on shower model).
• Complete Kit with Flexi Waste – adds 100-110mm (with legs in the shortest setting, this adds a minimum of 90mm to the height).

Note: Please provide the total ceiling height available to ensure we supply the best option for your installation.

 

Standard Base or Raised Base?

The Standard Base is recommended for installations where the shower cubicle will be placed on a vehicle chassis or timber floor with underfloor access for plumbing. It’s also suitable for new builds where waste pipes can be set in the slab when poured.

Alternatively, the Raised Base is perfect for those installing their cubicle on an existing concrete floor or in situations where passing waste through the floor isn’t possible.

 

Micro Trap or Flexi Waste – Which Should You Choose?

If your ceiling height permits, the Micro Trap provides a water trap for the shower, making it an excellent choice. However, if height is a concern, the Flexi Waste might be more suitable. In this case, you would need to create a water trap at a different location.

 

Building Your Own Raised Base?

If you prefer to build your own raised base, we can supply the stainless steel front panel, Flexi Waste, or Micro Trap individually. Please specify your requirements in the ‘Notes’ section of the Order form.
