There has been a major revision of the Electrical Standards with AS/NZS 3001 with part 2 being the relevant Standard for “Connectable Electrical Installations” which covers Installations in vehicles and relocatable units and applies to the RV Industry.
This Standard becomes effective in 2023 and it is important to ensure your electrician is familiar with all the new changes. At the time of writing some of these changes were still being clarified.
One of the key areas of change in the revised standard is the introduction of requirements for the safe storage of on-board batteries.
